Producer and Host of "The Mikey O Comedy Show", Mike Oquendo combines his love of the live arts with his production experience to produce over 70 shows a year in both the Chicagoland area and throughout the country. Mike is a prominent force in independent productions always looking to stage original live arts performances. His shows and events have been featured on local and national TV, radio and print media including coverage by Telemundo, WGN-TV, People en Espaņol, TimeOut Chicago, Chicago Reader and Metromix. Mikey O is especially proud of 3 notable milestones in his career: serving on the Board of Governors in 2001 for the very first Latin Grammy's with the National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences; being a concept contributor on 3 HBO Latino specials; and, lastly, creating the Holiday Giggle, to raise funds throughout Chicago for social service programs both within and outside of the Latino community. Mike continually engages in raising funds for non-profit organizations providing services and programs to Latino and non-Latino communities.
